As a new, state-of-the-art facility, Rivers Bend Academy was specifically designed to meet the educational needs of children with autism and offers six class rooms, a sensory room, resource room, conference room, therapy room and a common area. Rivers Bend Academy maintains maintain a staff to student ratio of one (1) staff per two (2) students and offers services for children ages 2 thru 21.  This includes a minimum of four (4) certified teachers per 18 students. 

Classroom instructors are certified teachers and paraprofessionals with experience working with children with autism from various backgrounds, needs and abilities.

Rivers Bend Academy is conveniently located at 156 Burnetts Way, Suffolk , Virginia (blocks from the Route 58 West & Route 10 intersection). It operates from 8:30 am until 2:45 pm Monday thru Friday year round (September – August).
